President and Chief Executive Officer
Domenic Mandato serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of InvestPlus Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), a private real estate investment fund headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. With over 20 years of expertise in real estate investment and entrepreneurship, Domenic specializes in acquiring, renovating, and enhancing the value of industrial and multi-unit properties across Canada.
Under his leadership, InvestPlus REIT has expanded its portfolio to approximately $108 million in assets under management, spanning industrial properties in six cities across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. A respected figure in the real estate investment community, Domenic is an active member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and the Real Estate Investment Network. He frequently shares his insights on industrial real estate trends as a speaker at industry conferences and has been featured in prominent media, including the “Everyday Millionaire” podcast.
Domenic holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and began his career in sales before pivoting to real estate investment. His disciplined, value-driven approach has solidified his reputation as a trusted leader in Canada’s real estate sector. Outside of his professional endeavors, Domenic prioritizes family life, giving back to communities and enjoying an active lifestyle with his wife in Calgary.
Mike O’Brien
Investor Relations Manager
Mike O’Brien brings over 30 years of experience in investment and financial services to his role at InvestPlus REIT. Since joining in 2025 as Investor Relations Manager, he has been instrumental in driving asset growth and building trusted relationships with both new and existing investors.
Over the course of his career, Mike has worked extensively across Canada with leading financial institutions, including Raymond James, RBC, and boutique firms such as Canadian Wealth Management. He is well known for his excellence in relationship management and business analytics, consistently helping clients reach their financial goals through personalized strategies and innovative financial education.
A passionate advocate for financial literacy, Mike spent 20 years teaching Personal Financial Management at the University of Calgary’s Continuing Education department. He remains a lifelong learner and educator, committed to empowering investors with knowledge, clarity, and confidence.
Based in Calgary, Mike enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, hiking, and golfing with his family and friends.
Jennifer Clark
Portfolio Leasing & Property Manager – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jennifer Clark has extensive experience in the real estate industry, where she serves as a highly skilled Portfolio Leasing and Property Manager at InvestPlus REIT, based in Calgary, Alberta. Jennifer manages a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring optimal occupancy rates and maximizing the overall value of the assets under management.
Jennifer is adept at negotiating lease agreements, managing tenant relations, and implementing effective property management strategies. Her strong analytical skills and market knowledge allow her to identify opportunities for property enhancement, ensuring that InvestPlus REIT’s assets remain competitive in the ever-evolving real estate market.
Jennifer’s dedication and creative solutions have brought many successes. Most recently, Jennifer facilitated on one of our Saskatoon acquisitions, marking one of the most successful acquisitions for InvestPlus. Her commitment to excellence and attention to detail has made her an invaluable member of the InvestPlus team.
Beyond her professional role, her many other passions include golf and any time spent on the water with family and friends.
Jenn Lockhart
Office Manager & Property Administrator – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jenn Lockhart joined InvestPlus in June 2022 as the Office Manager and Property Administrator. Jenn is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the InvestPlus office as well as the Britannia Business Centre. She supports our Portfolio Leasing and Property Manager and assists with our tenants on a daily basis.
Jenn has over 20 years of office and administration experience and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the construction and real estate industries. Jenn has a passion for organization, event planning and customer service and has been a great addition to the team.
Chai Go
Bookkeeper
In 2023, Chai stepped into the role of Bookkeeper at InvestPlus, bringing a blend of administrative and financial experience to the table. Before joining the InvestPlus team, Chai honed her skills as an accounts receivable associate, delving into the intricacies of accounting after gaining valuable administrative experience in the supply chain centre of an improvement retail corporation. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mount Royal University, Chai’s journey into the world of finance seamlessly integrated her knack for organization with a sharp eye for numbers.
With aspirations to ascend to the esteemed position of property accountant, Chai remains dedicated to her professional growth and development within the realm of accounting and real estate.

Donald Leitch, K.C.
Independent Trustee & Chairman
Don Leitch is the Managing Partner of the Calgary office of Dentons Canada LLP, a global law firm, and is a member of the National Management Committee of Dentons Canada LLP. Don is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada 2013, 2014 and 2015. He has acted for public mutual funds, private venture capital funds and limited partnerships. Mr. Leitch has extensive securities experience and expertise in general corporate law, oil & gas law and commercial transactions and has acted as an officer and director for a number of private and public entities including sitting on the Governance, Compensation and Audit Committees of such entities. He is also a member of the Calgary Advisory Committee for the TSX Venture Exchange. Don holds a BSc degree in Chemistry, a BEd degree and his LLB.
Ronald Gratton
Independent Trustee & Chair of Audit Committee
Ron Gratton is a chartered accountant and President of Strathdale Investment Management Ltd. providing consulting services and co-investment in a number of areas. He is also an officer of McCaig Real Estate Ltd., a private real estate investment corporation. Mr. Gratton is a former tax partner with
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Calgary and has spent most of his career maximizing wealth for individual and corporate clients. Mr. Gratton earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Richard Carl
Independent Trustee
Richard Carl is an independent businessman based in Toronto, Ontario. He is the past President and Chief Operating Officer of AGS Capital Corp., a family holding company with interests in oil and gas, metals and mining and real estate. In his capacity at AGS Capital Corp. he was also the Executive Chairman of Canada Fluorspar Inc. (CFI), a TSX-V listed mining company and the CEO and Chair of the Management Committee of Newpsar which was CFI’s joint venture formed with Arkema Inc. to develop the Fluorspar deposits at St Lawrence, NL. Mr. Carl has extensive public and private company board experience including sitting on Compensation and Governance, Audit and Special Committees of these companies. Mr. Carl earned his Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree from the University of Toronto and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
