President and Chief Executive Officer
Domenic Mandato is the President and Chief Executive Officer of both the Trust and the Administrator and is the sole director of the Administrator. He is also the founder of the Existing LPs. He is a real estate investor and entrepreneur specializing in the acquisition, renovation and value enhancement of commercial and multifamily buildings in 5 cities and 3 different provinces. He has successfully acquired, managed and sold multi unit residential properties in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec over the last 21 years. Mr. Mandato has spent the last 18 years building and managing InvestPlus, a highly successful real estate investment and management company. The REIT now has approximately $90 Million assets under management located in 5 cities in 3 different western Canadian provinces.
Josh Melnychuk
Licensed Exempt Dealing Representative
Josh Melnychuk is a seasoned professional, currently working with InvestPlus REIT as a Licensed Exempt Dealing Representative through Axcess Capital. His role has equipped him with extensive knowledge and experience in the exempt market space across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. His expertise lies in financial planning, investments, money management, insurance planning, and devising financial strategies.
Josh’s primary responsibility is to guide clients through the intricacies of private capital investments. He leverages his background to enlighten both current and potential clients about the benefits of diversifying their portfolios through private investments. Josh also utilizes his connections with portfolio managers to tailor financial solutions that align with the unique needs of his clients.
Josh advocates for a client-centric approach in the financial services industry, focusing on understanding and achieving the core financial goals of individuals, rather than just concentrating on monetary aspects. His expertise extends to life, disability, and critical illness insurance, segregated funds, and private investments.
Outside of his professional life, Josh is engaged to be married in 2025 and is a proud owner of a corgi named Koumbo. He is a passionate dog lover and wine enthusiast, known for his optimistic outlook. His hobbies include spending time with family and friends, engaging in co-ed sports, playing hockey, skiing, and maintaining a commitment to health and fitness.
Sabrina Wen
Senior Accountant
In 2024, Sabrina assumed the role of Senior Accountant at InvestPlus, overseeing financial matters for both the Trust and the Administrator. Before joining InvestPlus, she held the positions of Client Accounting Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager at FirstService Residential, accumulating over 5 years of experience in the property management industry. Prior to her tenure at FirstService, Sabrina began her professional journey at a public practice accounting firm following her graduation with a major in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge.
Jon McLean
Vice President, Finance – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jon McLean is the Vice President, Finance both the Trust and the Administrator with 20 years of global senior leadership experience. Prior to joining InvestPlus, Jon served as Division Controller at Walton Global investments Ltd., a private company providing real estate investment opportunities to investors in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe, overseeing the finance, accounting and tax functions for Waltons North American real estate joint ventures and various other Walton divisions. Prior to being with Walton, Jon worked at Plains Midstream Canada, an oil and gas midstream subsidiary of Plains All American, and INOVA Geophysical, a seismic equipment manufacturing company, holding various senior leadership finance, accounting, and tax positions. Jon is a Chartered Accountant and started his professional career with Collins Barrow LLP for two years and then with KPMG LLP for up to seven years. Jon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary.

Prior to this, Jennifer enjoyed many successful years as an advertising and marketing executive in Alberta. During her tenure, Jennifer reached extraordinary levels of success along with several achievement awards that are proving to help with her current role.

Jenn Lockhart joined InvestPlus in June 2022 as the Office Manager and Property Administrator. Jenn is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the InvestPlus office as well as the Britannia Business Centre. She supports our Portfolio Leasing and Property Manager and assists with our tenants on a daily basis.
Jenn has over 20 years of office and administration experience and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the construction and real estate industries. Jenn has a passion for organization, event planning and customer service and has been a great addition to the team.

In 2023, Chai stepped into the role of Bookkeeper at InvestPlus, bringing a blend of administrative and financial experience to the table. Before joining the InvestPlus team, Chai honed her skills as an accounts receivable associate, delving into the intricacies of accounting after gaining valuable administrative experience in the supply chain centre of an improvement retail corporation. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mount Royal University, Chai’s journey into the world of finance seamlessly integrated her knack for organization with a sharp eye for numbers.
With aspirations to ascend to the esteemed position of property accountant, Chai remains dedicated to her professional growth and development within the realm of accounting and real estate.

Senior Property Accountant – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
She is responsible for maintaining our new accounting system and handling the full cycle accounting for all properties. Prior to this, Ava had been working as a Property Accountant for over 7 years. Ava is very interested in property management and always willing to dig deeper into the industry. Through all these years, she’s realized one of the important factors that contribute to the business’ success is the cooperation between the Property Manager and The Property Accountant. Ava is a great team player, has a strong sense of responsibility and is very client oriented. She is a great support to the accounting team and the property managers.

Stephanie Lawson
Senior Accountant
Stephanie Lawson is the Senior Accountant. Stephanie joined InvestPlus in September 2013 part-time and became a full-time senior accountant in September 2014. She is responsible for the day to day payables and receivables at InvestPlus and preparation of internal financial reports. Stephanie holds a Master Financial Advisor designation as Business Services Specialist and has been in the accounting and taxation industry for 20 years. She is skilled in all aspects of full cycle accounting, tax planning and financial statement analysis. Prior to joining InvestPlus, Stephanie owned her own accounting business.
