President and Chief Executive Officer
Domenic Mandato is the President and Chief Executive Officer of both the Trust and the Administrator and is the sole director of the Administrator. He is also the founder of the Existing LPs. He is a real-estate investor and entrepreneur specializing in the acquisition, renovation and value enhancement of commercial and multifamily buildings in 5 cities and 3 different provinces. He has successfully acquired, managed and sold approximately $100 million multi-unit residential properties in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec over the last 21 years. Mr. Mandato has spent the last 16 years building and managing InvestPlus, a highly successful real estate investment and management company. The REIT now has approximately $49.5 Million assets under management located in 5 cities in 3 different western Canadian provinces.
Vice President, Finance – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jon McLean is the Vice President, Finance both the Trust and the Administrator with 20 years of global senior leadership experience. Prior to joining InvestPlus, Jon served as Division Controller at Walton Global investments Ltd., a private company providing real estate investment opportunities to investors in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe, overseeing the finance, accounting and tax functions for Waltons North American real estate joint ventures and various other Walton divisions. Prior to being with Walton, Jon worked at Plains Midstream Canada, an oil and gas midstream subsidiary of Plains All American, and INOVA Geophysical, a seismic equipment manufacturing company, holding various senior leadership finance, accounting, and tax positions. Jon is a Chartered Accountant and started his professional career with Collins Barrow LLP for two years and then with KPMG LLP for up to seven years. Jon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary.
Portfolio Leasing & Property Manager – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jennifer Clark Joined InvestPlus Management Group Inc. May 2020 as Portfolio Leasing and Property Manager and is currently working towards her commercial real estate licence. Jennifer looks after the leasing activity and day to day operations of the REIT’s properties. Prior to this, Jennifer enjoyed many successful years as an advertising and marketing executive in Alberta. During her tenure, Jennifer reached extraordinary levels of success along with several achievement awards that are proving to help with her current role.
Senior Property Accountant – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
She is responsible for maintaining our new accounting system and handling the full cycle accounting for all properties. Prior to this, Ava had been working as a Property Accountant for over 7 years. Ava is very interested in property management and always willing to dig deeper into the industry. Through all these years, she’s realized one of the important factors that contribute to the business’ success is the cooperation between the Property Manager and The Property Accountant. Ava is a great team player, has a strong sense of responsibility and is very client oriented. She is a great support to the accounting team and the property managers.
Office Manager & Property Administrator – InvestPlus Management Group Inc.
Jenn Lockhart joined InvestPlus in June 2022 as the Office Manager and Property Administrator. Jenn is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the InvestPlus office as well as the Britannia Business Centre. She supports our Portfolio Leasing and Property Manager and assists with our tenants on a daily basis.
Jenn has over 20 years of office and administration experience and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from the construction and real estate industries. Jenn has a passion for organization, event planning and customer service and has been a great addition to the team.
Stephanie Lawson is the Senior Accountant. Stephanie joined InvestPlus in September 2013 part-time and became a full-time senior accountant in September 2014. She is responsible for the day to day payables and receivables at InvestPlus and preparation of internal financial reports. Stephanie holds a Master Financial Advisor designation as Business Services Specialist and has been in the accounting and taxation industry for 20 years. She is skilled in all aspects of full cycle accounting, tax planning and financial statement analysis. Prior to joining InvestPlus, Stephanie owned her own accounting business.
